Bloody Horses

 

-- Infused Vodka--

1 Liter Vodka

1 Cup coarsely grated fresh horseradish root

1/4 Cup whole peppercorns

2 whole dried chiles

-- Bloody Mix--

32 oz V8 Vegetable Juice

1 Tbls Worcestershire Sauce

3 Tbls Prepared Horseradish

1 Tbls Tabasco

Salt & Pepper, Celery Seed and Old Bay Seasoning (to taste)

Juice of 1 medium lemon

 

  • Infuse the vodka with the next 3 ingredients overnight

  • Strain the vodka and throw the solids away

  • Pour about an inch off the top of the V8 to make room in the bottle for other ingredients

  • Add worcestershire, prepared horseradish, tabasco, salt, pepper, celery seed, old bay and lemon juice into the V8 bottle.

  • Shake the bottle with all ingredients and store in the refrigerator until ready to serve

For each drink, mix 1 part of the spiced vodka with 4 parts mix (over ice).  Stir well.  Garnish with celery, olives and/or lemon wedge
